Bacteria can form on your skin and hair, making them susceptible to acne.
But when it comes to cleaning your sponge, there’s an even greater risk of getting it on your eyes.
We’ve got a full guide to cleaning and protecting your sponge with a bleach bottle.
Clean with a waterproof beauty sponge 1.1.
Rinse your sponge under running water or a tap to remove any dirt.
You can also use a damp cloth and soak your sponge in warm water for 20 minutes.
Apply a thin layer of dish soap or conditioner to the sponge, rubbing it in with your fingers.
After 30 seconds, wipe away the excess soap with a damp paper towel.
Repeat until the sponge is completely clean.
If the soap is too strong for your sponge to handle, just wipe it off with a dry cloth.
The sponge is supposed to stay damp for two minutes before being rinsed.
Repeat the process with a third sponge. 1
