We are exactly four days into the year 2019 and I am being constantly asked by everyone around me “What are your New Years Resolutions Justine?” Honestly from the amount of excessive asking, one would think that I knew some amazing secret that everyone else wanted to know.

To be quiet honest, I am not one for setting New Year’s Resolutions. Why you ask? Well, for starters, I have a laundry list of failed New Year’s Resolutions (mainly contributed to the fact I forgot I made them) and that I don’t make a big effort to try and achieve what I have set. This is because I ultimately realize that the resolutions I try to set aren’t really important. The resolutions that truly matter to me are forever ongoing and have no assigned time frame. At any given point in my life, I have basically a foundation of goals that have become the sources of my daily motivation. For me they are the only goals that matter every day, every year and beyond. For me these are my “Life Resolutions”.

My Top 10 “Life Resolutions” I Try to Achieve Daily, Yearly & Beyond:

  1. Be the best mother I can be.
  2. Be the best wife I can be.
  3. Be a positive force within this world.
  4. Grow my savings/retirement account.
  5. Grow my daughters savings/college accounts.
  6. De-stress and relax more. Try to not always be a busy body.
  7. Accept that I cannot control every aspect of life and that I can only control how I react to what is thrown my way.
  8. Never doubt myself.
  9. Be open-minded and willing to try new things.
  10. Understand perfection does not exist, but there is always room to improve.

So, Happy New Year 2019!

I hope that whether you make a New Year’s Resolution or not, that 2019 is the best year for you yet!
