My smile has come such a long way in my life. When I was a kid my teeth were a disaster! I had two big buck teeth and crowding to the point that I often would wonder if the adult teeth that came in were actually put in the wrong mouth. Over the course of my childhood and teen years, I went through many procedures and appointments to get straight and perfectly aligned teeth. As big of a pain all that was, I am grateful to my parents for spending their hard-earned money on me and giving me that gift.

Over the years, I have done my very best to maintain healthy strong teeth and I am one that always uses floss and brushes. Regardless, I have had some issues with my teeth that have compromised their integrity slightly. The biggest issue I have is Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ). As a result of TMJ, I grind and clench my jaw, which over the years has caused my teeth to get small chips, cracks, divets and to be prematurely worn down. I attempt to counter these problems with physical therapy exercises for my jaw and a night guard from my dentist. The other issue is that as an adult I have developed a love for coffee. This has unfortunately resulted in the slight yellowing of my teeth. I use whitening toothpaste (Crest 3D White) and mouthwashes to help counter this. They do work a bit, but don’t produce the true result I want. I know the solution would be to not drink these drinks, but I really want something that gives me the best of both worlds. So, I have been on the hunt for a product that could really do the same job as the dentist could, but without the price tag that comes with the dentist.

In my quest to find such product, I have spent way too much money. I have spent money on strips, trays, and weird lights. All produce very minimal results. However, I recently came across “BLAQ Charcoal Powder” via FabFitFun. This powder supposedly (with regular use) gives you a white smile the same as if you went and spent a ton for professional whitening at the dentist. As skeptical as I was, I decided to give it a try.

Needless to say, I was blown away by the results! I had pretty much been convinced that I was going to have to give in and go to the dentist to get professional whitening. I really don’t think I will have to now. The results from using this charcoal powder in the morning and night for just 3 days well exceed any expectations I had for this product. My teeth are much whiter and I have not given up my coffee or tea. The only thing I need to figure out is how to get to the yellowing located in between my teeth where the toothbrush can’t get to. Now, I had received this product in my FabFitFun Fall 2018 Box, but the retail value of this product is $20.00 which seems to be right around what most charcoal powders for teeth are. So all in all it’s not that expensive. Also, to get the results you do not need to use a ton of powder, so a little goes along way with this product. I really like this product so far and I am very excited to see what the results are after a few weeks of use. I will provide another update then.
